Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Howdy Boys,
Been a tad remiss on checking in here -that time of year for me.  But I got an email from iKnife / Miss Ruth this AM.  She seems very anxious to be my friend for vague reasons, And it seems that I need to send her my email and contact info.
Anyone else had such an invite?  If so, I suspect some kind'a fraud.  Heads up knifers!

Haha , and I thought she was my girl , said the sweetest things, seems she s been lying to me all along , LOL
I am sure I will get over it.!!!
I think this is the latest one, (liasubsracur92) She came on after Scott went to bed or is sitting outside partaking an adult beverage. He already deleted 3 or 4 today.
These folks just trolling for a bite, muddying up the water for all of us.
Be willing to bet that "liasubsracur92" is some sort of spammer also, just hasn't sent out any messages.
I got an email from Miss Jane. She wrote that she saw my profile on iknife and wants a relationship with me'
It just sounds fishy.

Don really hit my funny bone with his comment about how it's "funny how this gets more responses than ANYTHING around here..." We're all so transparent in our objections to scam email from Jane, Ruth, liasubsracur92, or whoever. We complain about the scam, but we feel left out if we miss out on getting one of these mystery girls' personalized emails. It's funny to me how some of us who complain tongue-in-cheek about missing out don't sound completely tongue-in-cheek. To me, it's like complaining about how we had to be dragged into the nearest knife shop even though we probably spend more time there than any other store because we incessantly zone out and fantasize about finding the custom knife of our dreams there at a BARGAIN PRICE!!!. And, No, I'm not projecting here - - I'm just making a completely objective observation about some our members' behavior. (Yeah, you know who you are.) I, of course, have no such illusions. Hey, has anybody gotten any new scam emails that I can complain about? If you have, please forward me a copy for analysis. :)
Sorry Terry.
I deleted the one that I got. I'll be sure to forward any, that I may recieve, in the future.

Hey, J.J., no problem. I'm sure there'll be more of them. BTW, your Country Music Song sign is very appropriate. The song might be called "I Walk the Line between Sharp, Oooops, and Dammit!!!"
Hi Knife-Folks,

I do a web newsletter about this time of year for giving gifts to collectors. Can I ask what kind of gifts you have gotten in support of your knife collecting that really made your day? Not knives, but generic stuff that might appeal to collectors of all stripes.

And thank you all for the recent birthday felicitations.

I got a knife collection caddy from my granddaughter one year, and because she made it herself out of felt and ribbon, it is special to me. Caddy's are always knice. Sharpeners are always a nice gift. A knife display stand is great, especially when it accompanies a knife that is the main gift and is the right size for that knife.
