Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I am not a knowledgeable knife collector as most of you are but I like old knives at pick them up at yard sales and estate sales. Yesterday I brought home a very large two bladed bone handled Queen. One blade is marked "Queen steel" and the other marked "Queen stainless" does anybody have knowledge of this knife. It is in remarkable condition through-out. The knife when opened is 9-1/4" inches. The second knife that I picked up is a Shatt-Morgan tooth-pick bone handled and measures 9-3/4" inches. It is a single blade and is also in remarkable condition

!! . nice finds . !!

The explanation for the differences would be different years.  Since the configuration of those stampings tells the secret, best if you see them and determine which ones match yours.

Click on this link http://iknifecollector.com/group/knifechicks2/forum/topics/date-and... and scroll down about 2/3 of the page.  You will see the Queen markings there.  Even some of the old Schatt & Morgans are there

My guess is that they would use up old stamped blades rather than scrap them. This Knife I believe was assembled within the dates of the newest marking and used the older blade to complete it.
