Well, nowadays my preference has turned to the incredibly good Benchmade 755 MPR. It has a very versatile blade length (considering laws), a very useful blade shape, very impressive steel, and perhaps the most comfortable and reassuring handle I have ever encountered. You say, "But LBJ, it has an under 3" blade and is therefore useless for defense." Limited, yes...but incredibly capable too. The great handle, perfect lockup/locking mechanism, and massive strength throughout the design make it a formidable weapon if ever called upon.
I would like to thank Mr. Chris Stookey and Apophysis7 (from YouTube) for turning me on to this fantastic knife.
Nice comments on the 755. It's a good knife, not for everyone due to it's thickness, but will fit in a pocket for carry. Considering what the actual Siebert designs go for these days, the Benchmade version is a steal (forgive the pun...) (;-)
I like anything with the name Osborne on the blade.
Richard, my EDC is the 915SBK-ORG Triage. Hands down most versatile knife out there.
