1867 Heinrich Boker Remschied Deutschland .. original manufacture

1867 Herman Boker & Co. USA .. original importer/distrubuter for above

1917 Valley Forge Cutlery Co. Newark NJ .. aquired by Boker

1969 J. Wiss & Sons Maplewood NJ .. merged with

1978 Cooper Group NC Tool Manufacture .. was purchased by

1986 Heinrich Boker Co. Deutschland with a USA headquaters in Golden CO. .. once again became a part of the original parent company

You're both correct - I should have clarified that these were U.S. companies not necessarily known in the pocketknife industry. You have #3: J. Wiss & Sons 1969-1977 and #4: Cooper Tool Group 1978-1983.

Still need #1 _______ 1965-1968

and #2 ________ 1969

Here's a hint: KNIFEWORLD :-)

New Britain owned Boker around 1965-1968. New Britain was the tool supplier for NAPA.

1. New Britain Machine Company. 1965-1968

2. New Bitain Machine Company merged into Litton Industries in 1968. Then in 1969 or 1970, J. Wiss bought Boker.

Too cool .. where'd ya find the info ????

I looked & looked & was still pulling a blank on the "Litton" detail.

Hi Dale,

I got the Litton Industries info. from Mark Zalesky's article about Boker in Knife World that he did in Nov. 2009. I wouldn't have found it had it not been for Ricky's above hint. I'm just not as familiar with the newer Boker stuff (post 1960)......I like the old ones.
