I have to agree those Ram horn scales are beautiful and masculine at the same time. My next 110 will incorporate Rams horn scales.

Wowsa! I don't know what I like best about the knife - Those gorgeous ram's horn scales or that drop point hollow ground recurved blade?

Thanks Ron! I, too, favor the ram's horn - I have a real passion for ram's horn handles! I have several and a knife maker friend told me it is probably the most stable handle material - long-term... Here is a Eddie White recurve I had him make 2 years ago....

I can certainly appreciate why those two might rank as favorites. They are both exceptional examples of just how beautiful the Buck 110 can really be. That Proto 1 of 1 is pimped to the max -- love it! But for my taste, if I had to choose a personal fav between the two, it would have to be the ram's horn with the nickel silver bolsters and satin blade. It's ruggedly beautiful, but not so much so that I would be afraid to use it. These are after all hunting knives. Besides, one of those scorpions might attempt to bite me if I attempted to use their knife!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to clean all this drool off of my keyboard.

It locks up like new. It feels great, it is about 1/16" thinner than stock due using a beltsander to finish the scales to be flush with the bolsters. I have 2 more 110's to play with but they will have to wait until after I pay for my club knife.

Good work, Brad! How does it feel as far as the lock-up and overall operation of the blade - opening and closing? It sure looks pretty!

I finished my first re-habbed 110. Spanish Lace Damascus Drop point blade from Grand Leavitt, Redheart Wood scales on a '70's 110 Brass Bolster and liner frame.
