I have several Buck Knives. My first Buck was and still is a 309 pattern, my second a 110. Both of these knives were purchased while I served in the Navy. The 309 was a replacement for my tree brand single blade trapper, which had been lost; I was aboard the Yorktown off North Korea during the Pueblo incident at the time. The 110 was purchased while aboard the Enterprise, on station near Viet Nam, in 1971.

The 309 has been retired from carry, but remains in my collection (needs an escutcheon).
