I knew potatoes would turn it but never thought about watermelon
Gotta love an old Schrade for their patina. This ones got it from the tips of the blades to the end of the backsprings. They do turn purdy! Schrade+??!!...Why?
Rob, a patina rules, I grew up using Scharde knives. They are great!
Me too Robert, and atleast 2 other generations in my family before me. Maybe more. You just couldn't beat the quality for the price.
Anybody have some really old damascus steel knives?
Hey Robert, If you can find some Axis antler it makes excellent rehandle material. It's straighter than whitetail. Keep an eye out for sheds when you are out there. I have rehabbed alot of old knives with it. Good Luck!  Trying to kickstart this thread.

Mike, I see you re-do old knives, post a picture of them if you can.

I will try to find a small child to show me how to post pics soon. I have some others asking for the same. I am going out in the hill country this weekend. I will be searching for shed antlers etc. The Axis(not actually a deer) can shed at any time. Thanks for your interest and I will get back to you on pics.

LOL,

Mike..a lot of members have the same difficulty with pics.  If you have a digital camera with the card in it I would be happy to walk you through the process to get them into the computer and on the page, I have done it for many.  Enjoy the weekend and let us know how the hunt for sheds turns out

Mike, I have my grand daughter post mine...lol
Don, I think we have enough groups of frivalis topics now but I guess I was in the woods when the computer Apple went by..lol
