Here is another Wild Horse Custom customized seahorse whittler outfitted with covers combining orange spiny oyster shell, white turquoise, mother of pearl, and onyx.  Love the autumn colors in this one.

Absolutely stunning piece Dennis! ! !

Thanks Andy!

Newest pony in the stable (which is getting pretty crowded!).  It's another Wild Horse customized with brown lip snail atlante pearl, mammoth tooth and mastodon ivory covers.  Man, do I love this color combination!!!

Latest one in ... 2024 smooth grey bone. Number 61 for the Case seahorse collection.  Heck, I could pert near fill a case with these Cases!!!

Looks good Dennis.  I got one of those last week as well and was pleasantly surprised with it's appearance.  I was just looking for a project piece and was blown away by the coloring.

Yup Andy ... Case did a great job on the coloring of these ones.  Just wish they did a better job on blade sharpening!!!  The burrs on mine were so bad you didn't need to feel for them ... you could see them!  So, had to invest in some sharpening time.

Replaced the richlite scales on this pony with some new black sea dichrolam for a buddy up in Michigan.

Have had this one for over a month and just got around to taking pic of it.  A glitzy one for sure ... but got it because I knew it would really appeal to my daughter ... purple has always been her favorite color.  A 2022 customized with sugilite, heart abalone, and purple sparkle Kirinite covers.

Simply amazing everything on this one Dennis!  Everything compliments everything else so well.  Bravo and congratulations on the aquisition.

Wow, Dennis! That's a beauty!

Just added 3 of the newly released 2025s .....

Dark red burlap micarta with 1095 blades!

Blue dyed sycamore.

Smooth yellow dyed bone.

And now for my rant.  Love the seahorse/serpentine pattern.  With the addition of these three, have 65 Case seahorses 2 Bulldogs, 2 GECs, a Hen & Rooster and an AG Russell.  What I don't love, since these fall more into the collectible, rather than user category, is the amount of work I have to put into the Case models.  Can't remember the last Case seahorse I bought that didn't have poorly done edges with major burrs, bolster scratches and blade rubs.  Now, I expect this model to develop blade rubs ... but not from the from the factory .... at the price being charged for them.  I can only take a stab (yes a knife joke) at guessing why.  Perhaps the folks in Bradford and just making too many knives and trying to get each run out the door in the quickest way possible.  In any event ... it may make me reconsider adding more from Case.  When these three arrived last week, I resharpened the blades and polished out the scratches and blade rubs to where they were only slightly visible.  Then I got to thinking, so I jumped on the Web and took a look at the offerings at SMKW.  Saw a Rough Ryder Reserve Black Micarta Dude Whittler listed for $51 or so.  That's around half the price of any of these new Case seahorses.  It arrived today .... perfect fit and finish.  No scratched bolsters, no blade rubs and even, sharp and no burr edges.  Don't know if the production numbers on these match those of the Case knives ... but Case should be able to do a better job for the price being asked.  I remember when I bought my two GEC 38 English Whittlers.  I thought "this is everything that a Case seahorse ought to be" ... and I wouldn't mind paying $40-50 more.

That's it.  The three new ones are looking good now .... just don't know if I can keep doing this to make a new knife look ... new!
