I am not a Member of Sheppherd Hills  Museum so I can't research  to see if this is a Special Factory order from 1998.  Or who might have sold this knife originally.  Any info would be appreaciated.

I wish I could help.  I looked on knifedb.com and couldn't find any information related to the item number, which is odd.  Do you have any photos of the knife itself....just for my own curiosity....I collect slimline trappers, but haven't seen that number before.

Here are the pictures of the knife from the seller on Freebay.

Love it! ! !

I couldn't find any info on who distributed it or the quantity made.  I'd guess either SMKW or SHC.  I'll ask some others though and see if they know.  I thought I saw that on ebay recently.

And I do feel silly now, the numbers make sense now that I see the knife....B (brown)62048 2WG(worm groove)...

You did see it on ebay!  I wanted it pretty bad, bad enough to pay what I believed was a Premium price for it..   I won it for $59.69 add the tax $6.30. Man I hate the  Tennessee Tax $6.30, and the shipping was $4.95 so the total I gave was $70.94. I have only seen a couple of them in all the years I have been on ebay.   I have seen many more knives with the wormgroove Bone but they were GREEN. Although I have no way to prove it I believe it was a special factory order. Thanks for your time and  info. Keep watchingebay another will probably turn up.
