I sit at the dining room table and hold over a soft table mat to unwrap my knives. It helps when you have shaky new knife hands.

Just don't be so excited that when you take it out of it's little wrapping paper it doesn't go flying out of your hands and hits the hard floor.

I've never been into holiday knives either. But I've seen a few I've been tempted to get. I think the Halloween ones are really cute.
