The Gunboat is Snakewood. Beautiful, but pricy!
Great looking knives, Craig. What are those scales on the Gunboat? They are really nice. Gunboats are too much knife for me. I have a couple, cause the price was right, but I don't carry one. No room with a Butterbean and a Victorinox Classic in my pocket, fixed blade and multi-tool on my belt, with a Case Barlow and Canoe in the cab of the truck. [Estwing hatchet, three hunting knives, and a filet knife in my hunting bag] I do take the multi-tool off when the .45 goes on.
I sure hope we're not going to get bogged down with business world politics here like on other forums. I hate that!
Howard, Case can not legally comment on the situation one way or the other. Lets just say, not all customers were happy (from what I've heard). Maybe Case received too many complaints? Regardless, that type of thing happens all the time in all kinds of businesses. A company drops a dealer for whatever reason. AND, sometimes dealers will drop a certain brand for no reason and no one mentions that. I'm not friends with that dealer so I have no emotional attachment. But I still don't think I'd be upset over a business decision.
Some beautiful Case knives there Ken!!
