Damm, Ken. Nice campers. Never had a Case Camp knife - cheap imitation. No Case dealers close by when I was a kid. Too late now, Victorinox Camp, etc. knives came to the U.S. and then Leatherman done invented a multi-tool, long since, and I went thataway.
Thanks, Max. I was having trouble believing that W.R. Case was not a winner for Wesson Ace. But, if that was the case, one wonders what would cause a rift like that - to lose a money maker for them (Wesson Ace). And, on the Case side, I don't know if you can have too many dealers - i.e. it's costing them shelf space in MS, and Internet space everywhere.
Thanks Max - I wonder how many of those Centennial Knives case made in Camper pattern?? I bought that one from an old time Case Collector.
Howard,
from what I've gathered on the Case Forum, Case and Wesson Ace have parted ways. Seems no one knows why and can't seem to get an answer, just that Case broke it off with Wesson Ace.
Ken, those are some rare beauties and real nice to look at!
What happened to Case knives at Wesson Ace Hardware, MS. [I'm in PA so I can't go check]. Checked for the 2013 Silver Eagle set and the whole Case line is GONE! They may not have been a Master Dealer, but they had good prices and great service. They had Case knives as near as a couple weeks ago, but tonight the line is gone.
I don't remember seeing anything so far.
