I agree with Leo.  The sodbuster is the simplest of knives and the function of it cant be beat

Tobias...

I love the Case Sodbuster and buy these for gifts for my nephews.  My EDC is a Case single blade trapper with liner lock and pocket clip.  Fred sent this to me and I have carried it every day since.  Great knives.

I suppose I should've also put up a pic of the Sodbuster Jr.   It has a tang stamp of CASE XX/ U.S.A.  The number on the tang obverse is 2137.  (1965-69)

I only buy two or three Case knives a year. I kicked off this year with a lowly Sodbuster.  I picked up used Junior and it was looking lonely.  I debated posting a picture of it as it such an ugly duckling compared to all the knives Craig has posting.  I promise my next Case will be something more better pretty!   This one is the basic black with a blade stamp.  The tang stamp is for a 2014 production year.  You can't buy a more ho-hum knife!  Maybe I'll step up a notch and get the Yellow comp with a CV blade!

Jan, i like the Father's Day knife but I  think I'd rather have this silhouette on Case Peanut!

I find it shocking that they were willing to tell us what kind of steel they were using in the German knives (440C) but they are secretive about what kind of steel  Tru-Sharp Stainless is.  LOL
