I carried a seahorse for about a year. That's a long time for me. The warncliff blade is thick. Held a great edge.

Thanks Max.  Still not 100% if I'm going to buy it.  I don't actively collect whittlers but I'm interested in the Seahorse simply because it seems to be one of those iconic Case patterns.

Seahorse Whittler does not have a split backspring, it has two backsprings. The main bld. rides on both backsprings , while the two smaller blades at the opposite end ride on one spring each. The knife closed is 4" . Knife with the Main blade open 6 1/4 "
Pen bld. 1 1/2", coping bld 1 9/16"

I'm looking at picking up a seahorse whittler.  Can someone out there tell me if they have a split backspring?  Also does anyone have the dimensions handy (closed length, blade lengths, etc)?
