Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Well I have to say, I am impressed with the number of IKC folks that would love to have a club knife.  I am not surprised by the many people saying they would like it to be a GEC.  If iKnife Collector chose to use GEC as thier club knife what pattern would you want it to be.  THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT, NO DECISION HAS BEEN MADE TO USE GEC.  But ya'll know it would be my first choice LOL

Jan,

Not to be redundant with my pattern opinion but I would like to see iKC use GEC and choose the #72 lockback pattern. To keep it under $100 as some have requested I might suggest going with a smooth ivory white bone (similar to Johhny's favorite Tidioute #56 Dogleg Jack). I would prefer the spiral cut red or black buffalo horn myself but that would surely cost more than $100. If the lockback puts the price out of range then maybe a #73 with a linerlock or non-linerlock would do. The #56 would be just fine too.

I agree with Tom on everything.

The #72 is perfect, #73L right on, #56 stellar. I would support any of these patterns because they are true GEC standby patterns for me. Just about any handle material would be good with me, (but could we please avoid Glitter Gold?) wood, Elk Stag, acrylic, Elk Stag, burnt stag, Elk Stag, red stag, Elk Stag, bone, Elk stag.

: )

The #72 lockback or maybe one of the new Geppetos.

I'd support most anything GEC made.  I'd be tickled with a single blade 85.  That, or a 56.  Maybe in a wood that they've not used yet.  How about teak?  Or smooth bone.

I would like to see a Moose pattern. It is sort of a forgotten knife that has been popular for over a century with outdoor enthusiast.
I almost forgot about the long awaited #73 Lockback. Whats up with the long wait ?
I dont know Robert.  I will be speaking with Chris this week or next, I'll see what I can find out
I kind of favor a medium stockman myself, like a #66 Calf Roper with slanted bolsters.  Then maybe a Moose with slanted bolsters, or a whittler with slanted bolsters, or maybe just slanted bolsters on any pattern!
I'm pretty open as long as it is a folder. I'm ashamed to say I don't on a GEC yet.
Lee, don't be ashamed...just get one, fella! I seriously doubt that you will be disappointed. I sure can't get enough of them!!!!
I'm with Tom, I think there is a knife for everyone. Lots of good choices for every need, I can't see you being disappointed either. Great knives from a great company, they have my support and business in every way possible.
Tom Its on the list. I think I'm going to have to move it up though. Boy its a long list. lol
