My Ruger .357 snubbie is as much fun to shoot as my semi-autos, and a lot easier to clean, lol. The great thing about the 357 mag is that you can plink with the .38 special at a much cheaper cost

This is a look at my favorite handgun, a .32 mag. revolver. It shoots real sweet, alot easier to hit your target than some of the heavier calibers.

Since only hits count there can be no sensible  arguement against that choice.  Nice  photo. GEC knives?  What those beautiful grips made from?

Ken, the folder is a Robeson knife [made by Queen] and the small fixed blade is a Bark River. I bought that pistol from my cousin and he had set it up, so I have no idea what those grips are made of. They are even more prety than the picture shows. Ruger quit making that .32 mag. with adjustable sights a few years ago, making them alot harder to find and alot more expensive. This is one sweet shooting little gun with a wide range of ammo to choose from. You can shoot .32 shorts, .32 longs and a bunch of .32 mags. with different loads from light to heavy. Sounds like I like the little gun? You better believe.....lol

The guns I like the best are the guns I carry. The XDM 45  acp 3.8" compact and Ruger sp 101 357 mag snubnose w/ trigger kit at 9 lbs. I changed from carrying a Kimber 1911 to the xdm 45 because of my health. The 1911 was hard for me to brake down and I have to clean my weapon after shooting. The XDM is very easy to clean,it fieldstrips in about 30 seconds and also holds 13 rds.  I'm glad to be with the group. Stay sharp and loaded

Hey Guy, great choice with the XDM, I too have had the privilege to try one out first hand, great gun.

Very good point Guy. I thinjk I should have got another standard Colt everytime I clean my kimber. That's about the only thing I don't like it. The recoil spring is so strong , it is hard to break down without the tool and easy to spring yourself.

I do love my 1911 in about any flavor. The xdm 45 is what I need for now, one day I suppose it will be my scatter gun.

I have to go with an uncommon one, 7.62x25 for the Czech CZ-52.  Not the most attractive handgun, but the ammo is to die for.  Pun intended.  It was originally developed by the Soviets for use in submachine guns.  The CZ-52 can be purchased with a C&R license and delivered to your door by UPS.  FTW!

I don't know as I have a favorite caliber.  I like all I have.  My EDC is a S&W Model 637 Airweight .38 snub and a Ruger LCP .380 auto (yes, I carry them both all the time).  I like to stick either my Ruger P89 9 mm or my Ruger P97 .45 in my vehicle.  I really like my two Ruger Blackhawk convertibles too.  One is a .45 acp/.45 Colt and the other is a 10 mm/.38-40.  I also have a sweet little S&W Model 317 Airlite .22 revolver.  It is an eight shot with three inch barrel and adjustable sights.  I like to wear it on my hip when knocking around out in the boonies or riding my 4 wheeler.  It is so small and light that I don't even feel it there and it never gets in the way of anything I am doing.  (Even then the .38 is still in my pocket.)  I like the little S&W so much that I took the LR cylinder out of my Single Six and just leave the magnum cylinder in it.

Up till recently, I'd say 9 mm, but lately I've become fond of .380.

There's been a good amount of talk on another discussion on the scarcity of ammo lately.

For those that have ventured into the larger stores, Sportsmans Warehouse, Academy, Cabalas, even Wal Mart, lately have found that most, if not all, handgun ammunition is gone.

Over the past weekend, the local Sportsmans Warehouse only had ,45ACP.

I'd like to suggest that you visit the smaller gun shops in you areas to look for any remaining supplies.  I was able to find some today at a local shop near my doctors office.  As small as the shop is, they told me that they're getting calls from as far as California.

Other places to look in are hardware stores and in pawn shops, which are lesser known.

Good luck everyone.
