I've had the Dozier Bobcat 4080 for a few months now. It is a very large folding knife that functions exceptionally well for fairly heavy duty EDC tasks...and I'm positive that it would respond quite well in a tactical situation. Some of the exceptional features of this knife are: Blade shape...it is a bowie style clip...which works great for all kinds of cutting chores. The blade speed of deployment is super slick...as in Benchmade slick. It opens FAST. The handle is kind of large...and thick...but offers superb comfort ...and the way that it is shaped ensures that you have a good grip. Another cool handle feature are the Kraton inserts. They add just a little more "gription" to the FRN handle. Last, but not least, the pocket clip is a bayonet style that rides LOW. The price tag is pretty much a "bargain"...got mine for just over $50. Overall, an excellent value...and a great design. That said, I do have some "knocks" to render on the Bobcat. First, the blade is Aus8 steel. OK...but certainly NOT what this knife deserves (should be 154CM). Second, the thumbstud works fine, but doesn't offer very good traction. Knurl or terrace the stud Ka-Bar. Last knock...though the pocket clip rides super low, it seems like it might be a little weak...so my recommendation for Ka-Bar is that they beef it up just a bit. Great knife, recommend it highly.
like i need to get one now...lol who dosent like beef??? i do alot...

im lookin at this KA-BAR #3052 it looks sweet but id like a reveiw before buying if any one has it...
The KaBar Becker series are some of the BEST knives KaBar has ever produced. I have a BK2, BK7 and a BK9. All of them are seriously great outdoor knives. They are truly built for heavy duty use. I happen to love the handle scales shape...but they could use some texturing. Wet hands are quick to slip on the currently smooth surface. Other than that...the BK2 could use some spine jimping. Of the 3...the BK7 is one most likely to join me on a trek. It has a longer blade than the BK2...but isn't as massive of a knife as the BK9. I love the blade shape; it works perfectly.
