Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I recently completed this rehandle project for a client.  A Buck 547 skinner, the client is a huge fan of sambar stag, but it is getting hard to find stag the size of which we needed for this project.  I should also add that he likes for his knives to be stag from end to end...so I had to hide all of the hardware with exception of the actual handle fasteners.  I reached out to a vendor in upstate New York and was able to get ahold of a nice piece of Elk beam.  Here's a picture of the Elk as I received it, some pictures of the factory knife and then of the finished project.

Super job.

Thanks JJ....the bad thing about doing stuff like that for other folks is that I don't get to keep em for mysefl.  LOL

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
