Thanks for sharing the file. Great information and superb pictures.

I just received a copy of Knife Repair & Restoration by Adrian A. Harris. Useful because I'm really new to repairing knives and I'm not a metal worker, just the rudiments from shop class 50+ years ago and what I picked up sharpening knives and carving tools.

Excellent!  thank you for posting!

I’d be curious to hear if you think the book was worth purchasing? I’m new as well and really want to learn as much as possible.

thanks!

If you have to buy one book I would hold out and buy:

The Complete Book of Pocketknife Repair: a Cutlers Manual, Revised Edition by Ben Kelley Jr.

The value of Knife Repair & Restoration by Adrian A. Harris is really depends on your metal working and mechanical problem skill set. My training is rather basic, but for the price it was worth it to me, because I picked up a few ideas.
The pictures could have been clearer, but that would have increases the price of the book. Now I have to save up to purchase the Ben Kelley Jr. book. BTW fair prices on the used market $30-$60 though of course there's the person who is asking for $1.200+ for the book. LOL
Tutorial is better than "Knife Repair & Restoration by Adrian A. Harris."
