Robert that top picture. Is that one of the places you don't go if you're a stranger?
Good Job Robert, you sure are eating good.
This reminds me of the time I was charged by a snapping turtle. A buddy and I were riding 4 wheelers down this gravel road. There was snapping turtle in the road. We stopped and got off our 4 wheelers. We were standing there looking at it and my buddy was poking at it with a small stick. It seemed to be just ignoring us. I bent down and picked it up with one hand on each side of its shell. It was about 10 or 12 inches across. As soon as I lifted it off the ground it became all claws and snapping jaws! I immediately set it back down. But it wasn't through. It came after me! I had to back pedal fast. Fortunately turtles are slow on their feet. Lesson learned, don't do that again!
If he doesn't call the Turtle Man, he at least needs a Turtle Man knife! LOL
Robert,
Be sure to get of pics of this, never seen a turtle cleaned. Donnie has had fried turtle steaks in the Bahamas but I have only had it in soup
Robert, looking forward to those pics, esp. of the turtle.
Be careful if you do, they have a lighting fast strike. Hold them by the tail, if you're gonna hold them. We, Cajuns, cook them two ways, in a soup or in a gravy. My favorite is in a gravy.
LOL! Wow, I need to look for Snapping Turtles! That's one of the few things I've never eaten.
