Hey I hope it all went well and the fish co operated but I know ya'll had fun. The girls are doing a fine job, the pie looks fantastic
I made a scouting fishing trip yesterday for a bunch coming to fish with me Saturday. I did find us some fish to catch, this saturday. The water has been high in the swamps, bayous and rivers, that has made fishing hard. It took me a while to figure out thier pattern but I think I have it. The fish have moved away from the bank into deeper water, where they are not at ussually, at this time of year. I'll have everyone employ a deeper fishing rig and fish further from the bank. I hope my idea works, I have 3 fishing parties coming and a fish fry afterwards. Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it...LOL
Ah, blackberry pie! My grandmother made blackberry pie to die for. I picked at least a gazillion and one blackberries growing up on our family farm in SE Missouri. And probably at least a million chiggers. But it was worth it all when my grandmother took that blackberry pie out of the oven
That pie was great. All from sctrach and fress picked Dew Berries. They are finished, now the Black Berries are starting to come out...Yea Buddy, it don't get no better than that!

Well, Ya'll, I finally got my Dew berry pie cooking pictures on here. We went squirrel hunting and came back with crawfish and berries. LOL It's all good, they were very tastey. The girls are learning to cook recipes from strach, not out of the box.lol We hope to have another outing soon, I'll keep ya'll posted.

I have been to Wyoming several times. Its a great place to visit and I would love to live there.
Great, Now I want to see Wyoming!
Louisiana was always on the list
Those small bodies of water are called "sloughs" here in south Louisiana. They may travel for miles through the woods, ussually tieing up with another slough or small bayou.. They hold a veriety of wild life from turtles, frogs, fish, crawfish, snakes, alligators, otters, beavers, ducks, shore birds, and other forrest critters depend on them for their source of water. Such as deer, rabbits, squirrels, turkeys, wild hogs and even our black bear. Oh, my grand daughter made us a Dew berry pie last night, from strach. Yum, yum...I'll post more pictures of the hunt and the pie.
