Hi all,

I only own a few Queens at this time but this one is very special. This #51 Work Horse belonged to my much-loved grandfather who passed away in 1995. He carried it for years and as you can see it was well used. It passed down to me a few years ago and just this year I came across the new one shown below. I bought it to carry in his honor.

Queen does make some excellent stuff...I really like their Premium Hunter series.

Allright. Let's try my (probably) favourite knife then. I took a pictures yesterday when I was out in the woods with my kids.

It's a Queen Cutlery Gunstock with Amber jigged/burnt bone.

I got it in anticipation of a possible law change in the Netherlands. I figured I might want something less threatening and "nice" looking. And there was a US dealer on the Dutch forums who sold Queen stuff. So I went and ordered it.

I carried it around for a while. Thought I'd lost it at one point. But then I found it in my car. Seems it'd slipped out of my pocket and after a couple of months it showed up again.

Id already been considering buying a new one. You never know what you've got untill you lose it right? But when I found it again I decided I'd want it a little fancier. So I sent it off to an engraver. He did a great job. And the plus side of it is that now the bolsters don't really show wear anymore.

It also took me a long time to get it to where I thought it was sharp enough. But now it keeps it's edge just fine.

It's everything I could want in a knife. Small but big enough to do some reall work. Goodlooking and yet not easily marred. Bloody sharp and easily stays that way.
