Schrades Uncle Henry version of the 152OT Old Timer Sharpfinger

152UH 1994-1998 Schrade+ Stainless Steel Blade with Staglon Handles

152OT 1973-2004 High Carbon Steel Blade with Sawcut Delrin Handles

I'm no expert but here is my opinion:

Because the 152UH was only produced for 5 years it dose tend to bring a little more money $50 - $60.

I have personally used the 152OT as my deer gutting and skinning knife for the past 30 years and like it because it holds an edge very well and sharpens easily

I have never used a 152UH but do have a few in my collection

As far as the collect-ability of the Wolverine you have, it looks great and be glad you got it for free.

I have been searching for a nice example of it for a while. They get pricey, but I have seen the Old Timer versions go for considerably more. Those Sharpfingers are still sought after by many hunters for the mere fact they are an excellent skinning knife.  

This is primarily because of the blade steel. Some of us collectors are steel snobs and the High carbon Old Timers take and hold a very sharp edge.

Schrade also did a 154UH Drop point which was done in the Staglon. It mirrors the 154 OT drop point with the Delrin handles. Again, there were far less of these produced than the 154 OT.

The research I have for the Sharpfinger show that it made it's debut in 1973 with a partial year production run and made until 2004. The blade was 1095 carbon steel with a flat grind. In the late 90's Schrade started putting stainless blades on the 152OT but never changed the tang stamp. Their catalogs continued to say the 152OT's blade was high carbon however.

The 152UH was introduced in 1982 and had a 440A Stainless blade with a flat grind, which changed to a hollow grind in the last years

1989-1991 Schrade made some Sharpfingers, tang stamped SCHRADE+ over U.S.A. 512OT, the only sharpfingers to ever have OT included in the stamp

Sharpfingers with the LTD USA tang stamp had a 440 stainless blade...Most of these have a hollow grind, maybe all of them.

1975 a special edition called GRAND DAD'S SHARP FINGER had a tang stamp SCHRADE over G.D.O.T U.S. A

1976-77 around 20,000 were made for Peterson Publishing with a GUNS AND AMMO shield and a tang stamp SCHRADE over USA.....no model # at all

1989-90 a private order for True Value Hardware were stamped MM152 for Master Mechanic. 

The one I would like find is the MM152.
