Not everybody is avare of the Chinese knife market. Here is one comparison and some thoughts.

Spyderco Endura 4 Vs Byrd Cara Cara 2 Vs NAVY K-631

Endura 4 - VG10 /FRN/ HG

Cara Cara 2 - 8CR13MoV /FRN/FFG

K-631 - 440C /G10/HG

The blade tip configuration is slightly different as you can see on the picture  the K-631 has a more pointed tip so that it makes it more effective for a stabbing type action. Cara Cara gen. 2 has more belly so this is more a working knife as by ma opinion. The K-631 like the Cara Cara 2 are offed in 3 blade configuration. At this point I do not have the G10 version of Cara Cara 2 but for information purposuses the FRN version is sufficient.

I you want a G10 version of the Endura but don't want to spend a long time searching the secondary market and spend 120+ USD I can recommend the Byrd or Navy knives. For about 30 USD you cant go wrong they are a value purchase. I do not support or promote any of these Chinese knives but when spyderco does not see the need or market for A G10 line for Endura  and Delica you have other option one is go the custom way the second is buy other brands.

I think I do want the new Szabo Folder and the Tuff  it was announced in 2011 i hope we see it soon for sale.  I hope that they will not cost an arm and an leg.

Hey Spydie Friends!!

Here is my recent purchase The Cricket in Black FRN with ATS 55 blade. I wanted a non SS version for a long time but because the carbon fiber version cost more than 100 USD if you manage to find it I went with the next best thing and that is the classic FRN version that is not made for a long time. Enjoy some quick pictures more will be added to my gallery as soon as I have time to make them.

What should I say this is a fine exemple of a beatuful executed knife in my opinion there is no need to make them as auto because of the Emerson oppening feature but there are a lot of auto collector and users who prefer them.  I have some autos but nothing fancy but I have on my wish list the Microtech Select Fire :

http://www.thehollowgrind.com/images/uploads/microtech/selectfire/1...

Yes and Clint autos are not so popular in my country so my local knives suppliers don't really have them maybe because they are expensive you know for somebody is even 25 dollar more than they are willing to pay for a knife so 10 times that much is a big risk for them. Russia is a beautiful big country have some really great friends from there but really don't have the time to go there is just little bit behind the corner 1185 miles to be exact. It is much easy for me to buy from US to tel you the truth.

Emerson E78 (CQC7 and CQC7A auto made by Pro-Tech. MSRP $280.  Emerson does not make auto knives.  One Shot Show back Dave Wattenberg had the occasion to talk to Ernest Emerson.  In this conversation the Emerson auto was born.  Pro-Tech makes two versions of the Emerson CQC7 and the CQC7A in the auto.  Now is the time to get interested Patrik.  The worlds finest knife designer marries-up with the worlds finest production auto knife maker to produce these jewels.  Considering these facts the retail price is not bad.

I know Dave ships these knives to Russian knife dealers who buy up a large part of his production.  So there should be one in a knife shop near you.  If not you can order one from Pro-Tech.

Yes people, we export American finely crafted products.

Thank Bjorn today I have time so I will definitively make a bunch of nice photos. Just need to wait while the battery is charged up. I have a dozen new knives here on the table that I want to share with you but not here because they are not spyderco and I want to keep things in order so  i recomment you to join the following groups:

Special Ops Group-S.O.G. Knives

Tactical Collectors Club

Kershaw Collectors

BUCK KNIVES GROUP

EDC Club

Cold Steel Club

And I'm sorry to hear about that with the knife law in your country. Here in Slovakia we do not have any knife restriction I hope that it will newer change.

And if you want a special colored spyderco maybe I can ask my friend he does special custom modification on spyderco knives if you are interested send me a PM.
