I would go so far that in some view points the Byrd knife have even better design features like the finger cut out at the blade start if you know the delica or endura they don't have it but the byrd Meadowlark and byrd Cara Cara has. The other strong point Spyderco dos not offer the delica or endura in G10 why ? in past there was a sprint run but today if you want one they go for like 130-160 on the secondary market. If you look at the byrd offering they have every model in FRN, SS and also G10 why is this so hard ? This are just some point that speak for the byrd series. If you like question the Spyderco product line marketing than they should be a question if they have a full low budget line up why they introduced a slightly more expensive Tenacious Line up. One answer of many could be that spydeco want to make happy everybody and so they want to offer you a knife in all price ranges for all budgets and user applications.
Hello Steve.
I have a couple of knives from the Byrd lineup I can tell you they are decent for the money they are a way better option than to buy some no name (also) china made less quality knives. If somebody is on the budget and want a small knife like the dragonfly but can spend only 25$ the Byrd Robin is the best possible option and that is also with the Meadowlark (delica) yes you don't have a nice Japanese steel on them but the 8CR13MoV is a OK steel in my opinion.
That pic is absolutely obscene, Brad!
(I mean that in a good way ~ Congratulations!)
Yep. It's a keeper!
Craig, are you still in possession of the Para 1?
Thanks Ron!
I used to have a bunch more, but sold most of my Spydercos off.
Craig, you have some real classics there, my friend! The original Paramilitary is absolutely golden! And that stainless Cricket is very cool, too!
