A quick check shows that the actual name is Novelty Knife Company.  SMKW has owned the TM since 1994.   I'm guessing early production was under contract with Colonial as SMKW had other low priced knives made by Colonial back in the day.

Novelty Cutlery is currently a TM of SMKW. The current production is  in China.

Among the knives are Riders of the silver Screen (Lone Ranger, Red Ryder, Hopalong Cassidy, etc)

They also make little brass tone knives featuring  scenes such as hunting dogs, fish, and horses.

I have two SMKW made Novelty Knives .  The build is pretty decent tor the price (around $5)

Has anyone heard of a knife company called "Novelty Cutlery Co." ? It's a vintage company from the USA.

We were talking about how companies have slowed down on advertising knives, I think the same is true for Novelty and Souvenir knives also.

Yes that's true and that's what I mean. Thanks for the help.

If you do that, Robert, I'd suggest making it a group for Souvenir, Advertising, and Novelty knives.  You might get more buy in then.

I was thinking of starting a new Mini Group on Novelty Knives. Are there any collectors out there that collect them? Let me know, I have a small but growing collection of them.

I'd love to.  Where can I find the new front page blog?
