Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This is the Outback Bowie Type 1W. The Type 1 model was fitted with either a stacked leather (L) or Black Walnut (W) handle. The design of this knife reflects the influences of either the Al Mar "Pathfinder Combat Machete", the WC Johnson Recurve Bowie, or the small Schrade "Special Forces Bowie-Machete".

This one features the Black Walnut handle; giving it a refined stately appearance verses the rugged militaresque look and feel of stacked leather. It has a large advanced curve machete-style blade, brass cross guard & birds-head pommel, and a lanyard hole.

As with my Type 1L, the handle diameter on this knife was too large for my hand to wield it effectively or safely, so I had it professionally reduced to fit. Now it too is perfect!
