Whoever owned this knife before me performed some horrendous sharpening. I'm not much of a fan of Gerber, but this one struck me as nicer than the contemporary Gerber knives sold at Target & Walmart. I actually didn't even know it was a Gerber when I bought it, mixed among a random assortment of I can't even recall what else. But for $3, it was totally worth it!
