LOL...John I was informed by Dave to use this knife....it is not a safe queen..as per Dave...so honouring my friend and Bro...I am going to keep on using it...I am going out to camp here in January with work...so I am going to be using it quite a bit....hopefully some traditional testing in the bush...some people call it Bushcraft....lol

Nice bright lanyard Indian but will it be safer in that nasty snow than it would be in my cupboard ?

yes from my understanding...the cowry x steel is the best that you can get...Dave has put an  extremely sharp edge on it...I am currently using it with out changing the edge degree...it stays sharp...hasn't let me down yet and I haven't touched it with any strop or stone...It just keeps on cutting...hopefully try it on some critters soon...and as soon as I do I will let you all know how it performs...will keep informed!...By the way here is the little lanyard I put on it
