Yeah meeting Les Stroud was amazing dead_left_knife_guy ! If you ever get the chance to meet him, do it! You won't be disappointed!
Oh, wow, man... Les Stroud just seems so incredibly... human. I appreciate that more than his survival advice or his knife & axe designs. And then there was his son's leukemia battle, & even a near fatal car accident (for Les) after that... This guy is just incredible. I'd heard he spoke to people like that, like they were the only person in the room -- awesome to have that confirmed! And nice knife to boot!
Thanks! It was pretty amazing to meet Les Stroud. For the past year and a half the only thing I would dwell on was my dad passing away. To be able to fall back on this instead has been a great break for me.

That is as much a memory as a knife and a darn fine knife it is!
Thanks guys, I'm going to hang on to this one for a long time! It was pretty amazing to meet Les Stroud, even if it was for only a couple minutes. He gives you 100% attention, listens to you and makes you feel like you've been friends for years. Not fake at all! If I ever have a chance to meet him again I'd jump at the opportunity!
!! . Very Cool . !!
.
I'm confident it will be a fond memory that will last a lifetime. Far more valuable than the knife itself.
.
Nice knife, too. And the sheath .. I really like.
.
I originally hail from WI .. 'bout 40 min SW of the Dells. There used to (20 odd yrs ago) exist some rather nice antique stores there. One in particular .. 'bout a block S of Main on the west side of town .. had an extensive inventory of knives. Managed more than one good deal from that establishment. Worth the visit ..if.. it's still there.
.
Enjoy
