Hi John, The knife is a hidden tang and the handle is made from exhibition grade turkish walnut gunstock wood. The handle is unsealed/varnished. It is just fine sanded and polished on a buff and waxed.

Awesome Knife-Love your Damascus version as well. Just curious, are those ironwood or burlwood scales?? Either way, they are works of art !!
