Doesn't sound odd to me at all.  The Sebbie was the gold standard for many years.  Many think it blasphemy to say it is not now, but I think the Ummie may be the best slicer around.  Certainly one of the best.  My friend just picked up an XM-24 custom slicer. 

but there are not enough of those for the demand, so for something one can actually get, the Ummie may be tops.

All three knives are superb...with, of course, the Hinderer being the best...but not by a ton. I also have an Umnum and the Hest (just got it). I generally consider the Umnum a Top 10 knife. This may sound odd but I actually like it more than I do the Sebenza.
