"Anyway, that Frontiersman was made between '72-'86. I have seen some with a slight sculpting on the grip, but nothing as extreme as yours, which leads me to believe that someone deepened the indentations to fit their hand more comfortably."

"Looking at the handle, I'd have to say the sculpted grip is an aftermarket modification. Doesn't really have the look of a factory job."
