Hi Tim,

I forgot to mention. I have a small but growing collection of Frank B stilettos. He's an amazing craftsman. I love his work. I just got an 11" Swing Guard with MOP scales made in D2 steel the blade is a half grind or what some call a genuine bayonet style blade.

I don't own too many Hubertus knives, but I plan on adding vintage models as money permits.

Most of my collection consist of modern knives 10 years young/old or newer. I do have a few vintage pieces. If I could only stop buying new knives and save up for a vintage Latama or Coricama just to name two on my list of got to have knives I'd like to own.

Talk to you soon and I hope to see your double action soon,

John

Hi Tim,
I took a look at the photos you posted. Wicked beautiful knives you made. I love the Damascus steel and the scales are awesome. Your leather work is fantastic. The sheaths are very cool. My favorite is the snake skin sheath and my favorite knife is all of them.
I'm a knife addict with no chance of recovery. Knives have a hold on me and they won't let go nor do I want them to. I surrender.
I do a little bit of mangling. I've done a few re-scales and assembled a few kits. I've done Mikov's, mini leverlocks and leverletto kits. My re-scales are all stilettos and a few key chain stilettos. I've used Mother of Pearl, Brazilian horn, Abalone Laminate, Buffalo horn and Ram horn and other natural materials. Some day I plan on building a stiletto from scratch with only the use of a few power tools like a drill and hand tools. No high tech tools for me. I have to take the time to post my mangled knives so the members can see them and perhaps get inspired to try it themselves. It so much fun. I love it.
See you around the forum,
John

Hello and Welcome Tim,
You just joined an awesome forum. The members here are very
knowledgeable and eager to share their experience. Take some time to
review the various topics and when you have a chance please post a
photo or photos of your favorite knife.

I see you're a craftsman and make fixed and folders. Have you ever tried to make an automatic knife?

What publications do you read? I'm always interested in a good publication so I can learn more about knives. I subscribe to the ShaperDeals NewsLetter.

What other knife association do you belong to? I am a member of several knife forums.
Your new friend on the iKC Forum,
John
