Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Think back, when you were young. Days seemed like they lasted forever. every day at least a week long and every week at least a month long. endless Summers or so it seemed.  Fast forward a few years. Days seem to go by a bit quicker but not to quick. Seems that by the time we reach the late 20's early 30's, its kind of leveled off and there's time for just about everything.

Fast forward a few more years   mid 40's, early 50's. Seems time has picked up the pace and the days seem a bit shorter. I remember my parents saying there's not enough time in the day. I'm still in my 30's, what do they mean? not enough time in the day?.  Fast forward a few more years and time has picked up the pace. Kids mid to late teens. How did that happen so quick?. I'm beginning to understand what my Parents were saying about there is not enough time in the day.

Early 60's Kids grown and out in the world. Enjoying life. Me uh what happened, it was only yesterday that they just baby's. Time has accelerated considerly and I notice its on a downhill slope. Already applyed the brakes, added the emergeny brake also. well burnt up the brakes  :(   Ok time for the Boat anchor with the big chain.  What! its nearly completely worn down.

Now what?, Ah spare boat anchor and a big one at that, that ought to hold for a while. 76 yrs is just 3 weeks away. Has the very large boat anchor slowed things down.. No but I'm not gaining either,  whew!

life has been an adventure and I consider myself lucky to have experianced it. still in decent health. My Dad made it to 91 yrs and still lived on his own. I live on my own. Will I make 91 yrs in this world. I do not know, My Mother passed at age 56 from congestive Heart failure and I have the same issue, with a few other health issues thrown in.

Do I worry?  No, there is no reason to. Enjoy life while we are here. Me? I'm surprised at how quickly time has went by. I understand exactly what my parents ment by saying there is not enough time in the day.  ENJOY LIFE AS ITS A ONE WAY TRIP, MAKE IT COUNT.......    Wally G.

So, so true.  It's crazy how one starts thinking about these things.  For me, 55 now, it's more prevalent while watching my oldest with his 1 year old daughter.  It makes a fella proud to watch it all, but at the same time....slow down! ! !

This was a great tale Wally!  Thanks' for posting it.

Been thinking about the passage of time myself , Wally.  Told an old HS friend, just today, that we never seemed to think of being around for this long.
