Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

So for those of you who are unaware. Cell phone use while driving in Canada is illegal and will garnish you a stiff fine. The other day while at work i saw a woman with a coffee in one hand (which was holding the steering wheel) putting lipstick on in the mirror with the other. Another gentleman had two dogs scampering about the front seats looking for the best view of the road (that i thought should have been his job). Another man was so busy playing with his window mounted GPS that he almost clipped a group of cyclists. Then there was the wonderful older lady who drove at 20kmph through the downtown core ignoring all stop signs and stop lights. Cellphone use behind the wheel is dangerous, but the lack of common sense by a large percentage of the population is worse!

Oh indeed, makes road rash much more enjoyable, not to mention ten times the rocks to pick out of your wounds at the hospital!

See, they want to ban and/or regulate knives when they should just regulate idiots!

The day i saw this young fellow Don, it was cold albeit sunny, but up here we use a ton of rock salt and sand or crusher dust on the roads, nasty for bike traction as you can imagine!

well nothing is really hand free use...even a bluetooth requires you to switch it off or on...and yes thats always been my big point too Chris...there are a ton of things just as distracting or even more distracting and its even worse how many bad drivers are out there and then add in your mention of lack of common sense or for many just plain stupidity...and you have a group of very real problems is it any wonder there are so many accidents...

Brave souls motorcyclists, and even more just souls. Been close to buying one on many occasions, but like you said Don, you are almost certainly buying into an accident at someone elses hands... Although just the other day i saw a young gentleman driving down the road on his sport bike, its -10c here, so there are those that lack common sense everywhere.

Most of my iKnife time is on my iPad and yes, I do use it driving down the road too :)  Mostly as a GPS though....

Nice pic Scott! 98% of my iknife time is logged with my cellphone! Just wish i could easily post pics with it too!

Yes, they are...dangerous. Some of the states here require hands-free use.

I'm in agreement it should be based on common sense- but hope they aren't totally banned....I like to talk to fellow collectors driving down the road...like I did yesterday. Today, though cell phones are computers and I use them for a variety of tasks, aside from talking.

Plus every now and then I use mine's camera too :)
