Todays stop was the FL. Knifemakers show , some nice knives!!

As usual a show involving the Gators Cutlery Club was a hit.  The Knifemakers show brings in some real talent and some of the nicest folks you would ever hope to meet.

One of the things I like about this show is that it has something for everyone.  There are the customs, the high dollar customs, the manufactured and even some english beauties.

A knife maker that always make me smile when I see him at a show?  Mr. Russell McNabb.  A man whose knives are created with a love for the tool.  He does his own engraving and all stages of his knives are just that, his.

As a matter of fact the center strip in these knives is from a hunt he made in Africa.  He had the leg bones stabilized and made these for himself and some knives for his family

Thought I would show you a few more of Md McNabb's work

And the knife he made right before coming to the show

The colors in this knife are really there.  He thought about grinding out some of the colors from heat treat before beginning the engraving but chose to leave the colors in place.  I think it was a great choice!
