Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Today I have some pocketknives of different types & styles.  But all are antiques, so those who don't appreciate antique knives can come back later gator.

Above are some Coca-Cola knives.  One has script writing and one has multi-color handles made from pieces of other handles that had defects.  The red knife attop is a Red Cross knife.  I think each of these is European.

The two photos above are the multi-color handle of the Coca Cola knife in the first photo.  The handle is comprised of "dead" Coca-Cola knife handles.  The pattern is called "End of Days".  The etched blade in the next photo is unusual for me.  I somehow have ended up with a dozen or so Coca-Cola pocketknives.

I am finding that I enjoy Hawkbill's more and  more.  I think I have 8 now.  I got 2 in the mail today.  Above was the first, a Simmons Hrdwr knife.  Then later I received the same Hawkbill style made by I*XL George Wostenholm.  And I have one more older I*XL (a Prruner) coming tomorrow, and then a Sailor's Rope Knife from Wostenholm I *XL.  The Hawkbill, pruner and sailors knife are strongly related and sometimes hard to tell apart.

Pretty good day of smalls.

Lee, I like vintage knives also but I am afraid to buy them because I don't know how much they are worth and which one are the best collectables. The Hawkbill is my favorite too.

Thanks everyone.  Jan, I have a quasi-Hawkbill that you would love.  Everytime i hold it I think "who owned you?  Where have you been?  What have you seen?"  I'll post a pic later today or tomorrow.

The end of days is awesome indeed.  The hawkbill is a beautiful old piece.  Like you, I tend to like these more and more.  I also tend to look at these older knives and think, somebody carried, cared for and used this in their everyday lives.  How cool is that
