Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Disturbing news. Need your help if you joined iKC recently

I received some disturbing news today- from two different collectors who have attempted to join our community and, for some reason, weren't able to get through the process.

I'm working with both these collectors to get them to try again and document for me what is happening at the step they encounter a problem. One man reported it and I received a cc on his email to NING, the other was a recent eBay buyer of mine who in our correspondence happened to mention his unsuccessful attempts. OUCH!

So, my all points bulletin is this- if you experienced a problem joining when you first tired and you joined in the last few months, then please give me some details. If you found it was due to "human error," I really don't need to know, but if you think it was due to "the system," then please share the details here.

We have worked too hard to build our community for there to be a problem with the sign-up process or the "system/NING network."  I will get to the bottom of this.

Thanks

Scott

@Max-

No, there's no connection between facebook and iKC sign-up problems. And at this point, I'm only aware of two collectors who can't seem to "get in." Haven't pegged their issue yet either. I do know we have several members a week so do join and got through without incident. It just bugs me to know there might be times folks can't sign-in.

I signed up recently, and I saw the option whether to use Facebook or not, and chose the Facebook option. It was really great because I did not have to enter much information, IKC just took the info from Facebook, and it went from there. So, I would say that signing up with Facebook is very quick and easy, and I highly recommend it.

@John: I'm glad you got in OK. I think the majority do, but don't know and haven't been able to track down the culprit yet....maybe their browser. Trying to find out now.  And regarding the facebook thing- don't think you have to have a fb account to join here. That's just an option.

I suppose I was one of the fortunate ones.  There was no problem experienced in joining the Club.  I was just wondering if it could have been that they did not have a facebook page.  If I remember right it says that you are required to log into facebook at one point in the signing up process. .. ... ...... Just thinking.....
