Recently I also bought an old, small 2 blade I-XL knife.

I-XL goes overboard on this knife with advertising themselves.

There is the stamped I-XL on the bolster above.  I like how they squared off the bolster in order to stamp the I-XL.

Then there is the etched big blade below.

I couldn't get a clean pic of the tangs but both are stamped.

The large one says George Wostenholm Sheffield England.

The tang on the small blade reads I*XL George Wostenholm Sheffield England.

It's kind of like the Nazis who put serial numbers on every single piece of a gun.  Including screws, bolts, sights...everything.
