Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I admit.  I bought these knives because the handles are so beautiful.  They are alike, but different.

And both are hot hot hot.

The bright green knife above is from Bridge Cutlery, possibly the 1920s.

Below we have the tan/brown knife.  It is from Belknap HD  Mfg. Co.  I think it's of  a similar age.

The reason I say it feels like marble is that it is always cold to the touch.  It makes me wanna put it in the microwave and see if it melts.....nah better not.

But the celluloi tip makes sense.

Great info Steve!

And I have an old Pine Knot.  I will have to fish it out and post a pic.  I used to have a Primble but I think I sold it during my yard sale last month.

By the way I made over $100 in my yard/garage sale.

I wish I could figure out what these handles are made of.  They look and feel like marble.  But they were doing some great work with plastics back then.  The whole Art Deco kinda thing.

Let me know what you find out on Bridge.  All I know is from Goin's which says it is a trademark used by Shapleigh.  1902-39.
