Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I have a couple of modern pruning knives that I bought in the last year and i figutre maybe I should post them, see how they stack up against the old ones.

Aesthetically I prefer the old ones, but the new ones both seem to be stronger and better built.

The black knife has a kind of unique slide open/clsed mechanism (below).  you have to slide it to the open or close position then use your thumb on the little protrusion on the blade and----viola!!

The yellow one has a manufacturer etched into the blade.

New Zealand Svord.  Yes, Svord not Sword.  And until I saw this photo I thought it said New England.

Yes it is I used it just today.

And I now use the other knife of the two--the Seber--as my EDC.  It has that unique open/close/won't open or close 3 way switch.  It is sharp and well weighted plus it has a belt clip.  Sweet!

The blade works kind of like a swingarm.

I like that one from Svord.
