Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Now that is way too controversial to talk about here!

You know we all are passionate about topics we feel strong about- for some folks it's football (War Eagle!), for others it's religion (..let's not go there), for others it is politics (...don't go there either), but there are many others.

Really though there are hot topics with just about every subject matter and when you mix a room full of individuals together (virtually or real world) there is always the potential for heated discussions... cause we just see things differently.

We have been very fortunate here at iKnifeCollector. I have watched, for going on two years now, our members abide by our community "understandings." We all get along very well considering all the different opinions and preferences represented. And do you know what? These differences make our community unique...and interesting.

Like you, I enjoy meeting knife folks from all over the world- folks who like different type knives- some production and others handmade, some brand new and others covered with patina, some great big Rambo type knives, while other knives are those little pearl Sunday knives.

One thing I've witnessed about our community too is our respect for each other and how well we allow our fellow members to have, and share their opinions. Do we always agree with each other? No we don't, but we handle it like good neighbors- not feuding kinfolks.

With all this said, I do have a question though. And while I don't want to discuss all the particulars here (not right now anyway), I do want to get your opinion on this question-

What do you think is THE most controversial topic you've seen talked about when it comes to knives?

It goes without saying- I don't want any people's names here or any of the actual details of the argument, only high-level topics and/or identifying the subject matter.

...I'm just curious :)

Here's two... Mick Strider AKA Mickey Berger and Lynn Thompson.  Strider is a lying scumbag who makes great knives. Thompson puts out a great knife at a great price though the Cold Steel Proof videos are a bit much.

Obama and all these unamerican, unconstitutional scum bags are destroying this country. They make deals and do buisiness with China (Comi's). Theres hardly any jobs left because of it. Think of all the men that died in Vietnam fighting comunism and now there all chummy and best buds. All while theres no jobs left anx to top it all off there trying to take our weapons away. Just like Hitler did. I can't even carry half the knives i own because of these ASSHOLES. Sorry about swearing on here.

i agree with Dale... SS vs. Carbon steel....

its like Ford vs. Chevy.....

everyone has their reasons, and everyone can argue till your blue in the face... but they like one over the other for a reason and you cant change their mind!

as far as getting people UPSET.... i was accused of this on one of my discussion posts......

i lost a good friend that i met here on iKC.... Brian Davis. Brian had a brain tumor. i posted a discussion saying good bye, and informing the other members that i feared the worse and asked for prayers for our loss. the problem was i never got conformation that he has passed on. i wasnt able to contact him, his phone was shut off, email account deleted, and website shut down. i tried to get a hold of him for months, without any luck.

a few members were upset that i had "given up" on Brian, but that was untrue. i conacted the hospitals, churches, and other family members that i could find in the state of Texas. all went no where.... i miss Brian, and the conversations that we had. i wish i could talk to him now........

Springers, flick, button, ball, just about anything to do with a switchblade has always been a hot topic. Can I carry one? Can I even look at one legally? Buy, sell, own, mail depending on where you live has a different set of answers. Just saying...

Talk about "The boy who cried wolf" title. I thought maybe Barack Obama Bin Laden was about to take away our knives.

... and those folks .. they'll give no quarter .. if from the other camp .. .. .. ..  .. .. well .. kinda feel sorry for em .. they just don't know any better ...........................................

OK .. maybe not THE most controversial .. but it’s up there !!!!
