Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Smoky Mountain Knife Works Rep weekend

It has been a phenomenal weekend.  The show brought together some knowledgeable, fun people and some great knife deals.  I will be adding a great deal to this blog as I review the weekend but I wanted to start with a Thank you.

To SMKW for putting this together, giving the knife folks a chance to meet the companies face to face.  Thank you to the SMKW staff.  These are probably the hardest working folks in the place and yet it is all done with a smile.  If their goal is to exceed expectations of the customers, they have achieved that goal and more.  Being there, shopping there...it is an experience you cant explain.  GO THERE..experience it for yourselves, you will be amazed

Billy you are so right.  I have some great pics and some wonder discussions with makers and reps to go over.  I will be home today and have an opportunity to get stated on that

.  I just wanted to say thanks to all the folks that worked so hard to make this weekend happen.  The last one is the Museum staff.  Their everyday involvement in collecting and caring for our knife heritage and making it available to us is fantastic in and of itself.  The fact that they are there to answer questions, tell us about pieces we would never have seen otherwise just shows the dedication they have

I love that place, it's a little like knife heaven.

LOL Gary you are a step ahead of me.  My next thank you is to the NKCA folks.  They fed us all is an understatement.  They made sure everyone had an opportunity to eat.  If you were a single rep and did not have an opportunity to go upstairs, they would bring you lunch.  They came by multiple times during the day to be certain we had something to drink, did we need anything?  The welcome they gave us and the attention they paid to reps and the customers was extraordinary.  Thank you all!
