Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I can't seem to find the contest thread, so I'll post this here.

I was just informed by Greg of Trestle Pine Knives that I have won their latest contest, and will be receiving one of their awesome hand-made knives sometime in January or Feb. I got excited and posted a response in the wrong thread, so hopefully Jan can remove that post and place it in the appropriate thread, (I can't seem to find the original contest thread). Needless to say I am pleased and excited. I will be sure to post photos and a review as soon as i receive the knife. Thanks to Greg, and to Jan and everyone here on IKC. Happy New Year indeed!!

Of course I have been forum surfing looking for mentions of Trestle Pines Knives; found a few. Supposedly made by Queen, they are getting generally positive reviews on AAPK & BF. There are always the perfectionists who don't understand why a knife made by hand, one knife at a time, might differ from the next knife off the line, but they seem to be generally perceived as quality, affordable knives. I saw a few gripes about the size and placement of the nail nic, and a few grumps about finishing blemishes, but to me those things signify a positive sign that the knife is "hand made", not as an indicator of lack of quality. I guess ya just can't please everybody!! Personally I anticipate being thrilled.

I got so excited I posted in the wrong thread. What a surprise, but Greg has sent a confirmation email so it's a done deal. Thanks everyone, can't wait. Being made from centuries old original growth lumber that has been reclaimed makes it extra special too. I have a degree Natural Resources, so I appreciate the significance of that material and will be proud to have something so distinctive.
