No Sorries for not feeling well...Just needed to add you to my friends list because the club knives will be done and ready here in the next week or so and I needed to be able to contact you. I hope you start feeling better.

Hello Charles, I am only about 20 miles south of Bloomington Buddy. Give me a call at 812-279-3375 and let me know when you will be coming through.

Thank you for the nice comments. The book has been a wonderful experience for me and I continue to learn more and more about this little town and how the cutlery evolved from there. I am kicking around several ideas on how to present the new information. Good luck and keep your eyes pealed for those rare Pennsylvania related cutlery items for me.
Thanks for the compliment on the knives video, I do appreciate it.
You collectors are lucky to keep your knives. As a maker I have to sale mine to pay the bills. But I do enjoy making them.
Thanks again and take care..... Todd
Hope they are not to hungry as those jackets may be a bit tough to chew on...LOL...It arrived yesterday...Bet your tongue is sore having to lick all them stamps.....Carrie is probably happy as it probably shut you up for the evening...
Thanks for your comments concerning my knife shop. A lot of hard work went into setting it up back in 2004. It was one of the biggest investments in my life. From reviewing your status I can see you are a knife collector. And I must say you have some nice knives. I have a small collection of old knives as well, some date back in the early 20s and 30s. If I can recall correctly I have around 200 plus to date. But when I started making knives I almost stopped collecting them. Thanks again for your post and God bless and have a nice day.
Hello Charles, Thank you for the kind words I appreciate it very much. The shells would probably work well for trim on a show knife and if you want to get rid of a couple I will be happy to try it. The reason I use Gemstone other than the beauty is because it is the hardest toughest material available. The only thing that will cut or scrathch it is diamond. All of my equipment from saws to grinders and polishers are diamond coated so I can cut, shape and polish the Gemstone. The shells are a lot less sturdy but beautiful. I do use Pearl and avalone sometimes but not on a evey day carry knife. I prefer to build knives that a person can use daily and still pass on to the children from generation to generation. It is alot easier to work the stell blades and bolsters than it is the Gemstone handles. LOL. Thanks again,
David
