Jacub, Nice job! Kinda like a Green River Knife. Very Cool!

I too would polish the blade a little more and a lil' fine steel wool should finish up the handle a rid you of the rough stuff.

That's not bad for a first attempt!

Good show, mate! I like the ergonomics of the handle in relation to the shape of the blade. It looks as though it would be quite comfortable to use in its intended role as a skinner. Nice work, Jakub!

Thanks for all your comments. I will sand and polish the blade as you all suggested. The handle will get some more sanding and another soak in the oil. Once this is done I will post a picture or two.

Got to get moving... time to go to work!

Great looking knife, Jakub !! Just my 2 cents- I , personally, would go with a polished or even satin finished blade. Those dark spots, give it kind of a not quite finished look, IMO.  Linseed oil is a great wood preservative, but it does tend to raise the grain of the wood. I can't tell how it feels in the hand, but a light sanding with some fine grain might make it a little more comfortable to the hand. Do not construe these as criticisms, I love the knife !! Just throwing out some ideas !

Jakub,

I like it!  I say go ahead and finish polishing the blade.  The shape just screams shine to me!  I do like the idea of leaving that handle just a tad bit rough

Great knife and video! Just a suggestion on the blade patina. Maybe a light sanding/polishing to make the surface consistent and then force patina back to the whole blade by cutting some apples. I was thinking about this as i was watching your video before you mentioned that the handle was made from apple wood. This way the blade would have apple handle and apple patina. Just a thought.
