The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I am closing the original discussion regarding the 2013 knife. This knife is being offered to the members that paid for the original 2013 knife. Be assured if I have any left after the mailing I will offer them out to the membership.
Please see your emails for the announcement. Queen Cutlery and Ken Daniels have generously offered to help with our 2013 knife. They have said they beleive they can have this done in our time frame and have offered to meet our price on a Special Factory Order Knife. I cannot say enough about this company and it's leadership. The knife will be a 3L mountain man, 1095 carbon steel, satin finish, Amber carved stag bone, a distinct vintage shield and the iknifecollector etch.
Now, can I say I am very excited about this knife. The mountain man is a wonderful pattern and the materials and craftsmanship of a Queen are excellent. I only have a photo of a standard knife (borrowed from knivesshipfree) so use your imagination on this. Satin blades, Distinct vintage shield and iknifecollector etch
THANK YOU QUEEN CUTLERY

That's a great knife!
Thanks, Jan, and thanks to Ken Daniels and family!
Hey Jan,
With the change over to a Queen knife will there possibly be any left over knives or the opportunity to add on to the order? If so what will the price be? When do you anticipate delivery of these fine knives?
Thanks,
Tom
Tom,
Be assured if I have any left after the mailing I will offer them out to the membership. Queen believes they can get them done by end of Dec
Great looking knife, love that amber carved stag bone and pattern. Looking forward to having another Queen in the collection - the few I have are getting lonely!
Jan, This is great news. The Mountain Man folder was my first suggestion for our club knife, with 1095 and amber bone stag! Could not have worked out better for me, so count me in for my two knives. Thanks for your hard work in an impossible situation! Warren - "Lone Wolf ".
Warren, I'm happy for you.
But for me,
It's a steel I already own (and don't put a premium value on)
A bone I already own (and have been disappointed in by two other models in that pattern)
A brand I already own (and like but the two other models from the brand I owned I didn't like very much)
At too high of a price for me to justify for "just going along with the ride" or "completing the set", especially since I'm saving my pennies for a custom knife I ordered.
It's a lovely knife. But it's not for me. I'm dropping out. I'll still be following along with everyone as they get their knives and looking forward to hearing the happy messages.
You made the right choice Jan. Great looking knife! Can't wait to get mine.
Thank you everyone, so far the response has been overwhelmingly great. I am excited too and cant wait to see this one completed
