Some of us have more opportunities to use our EDC than others, BUT we all are presented opportunities, just maybe not every day. What was the last thing you used your knife for?
My room mates decided not to do dishes, so I used my spyderco endura 4 to make dinner. It must have done a good job because I have myself another dinner date.
I used my Pika to carve a wood handle for a mini-blade I made recently.I found the serrations helpful for smaller spots.I used a CRKT Hisshou long knife for backyard tamishigiri since we are on the subject of last uses of knives.I cut clean thru two gallon milk jugs, clean thru two 2 liter soda bottles, then clean thru 3 two liter bottles in single swipe. It was fun and challenging.Have a knife day!
I'm a caterer and so I'm surrounded by knives and people using knives all day long. I even jump in and help out with the knife work when my Chef and cooks get a little behind, but the last thing I used my EDC for was; open a box. The last real job for my EDC was to cut a heater hose on one of my delivery vans so I could route it around a leaking heater core and get the truck back to the kitchen.
I used my Tidioute Scout to open a birthday present for my 2 year old Grandson. My daughter-in-law was going to use it, but when I warned her it was very sharp, she opted for my help.
What a great day and a great knife!
used a kershaw scamp to open one of those ridiculously tough thick plastic blister packs that everything seems to be packaged in these days. kershaw serrations rock when it comes to tasks like that.
