Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The last knife I purchased was a Polish Army 6H4 Bayonet for the KBK (Polish made AKM) Assault Rifle.  That was back on December 6, 2013.

I attempted to buy a Czech Bayonet for the Vz 24 Rifle (Czech Mauser Carbine) yesterday but was out bid on eBay. I went $5 over the street value ($25 plus the $10 shipping). I refused to go higher as the condition didn't warrant it.

Today, I won a bid. This was only my second attempt to purchase a knife since December 6.  I think that's like 68 or 69 days without buying a knife.

Pictures to follow when it arrives.  Until then, I'll divulge no details on the knife that broke the dry spell.

Cant wait to find out what it is!  Congrats

I'm with you Tobias, I think I have bought maybe 2 knives since Christmas. Or something like that. My last one was that Robt Klaas Yellow fixed blade, I really like it.

Well my dry spell is just starting, I think. My two grand daughters are in college and I am having to help with everyday expenses. This is a problem, financially that has been plaguing me for a while, but just got worst.

LOL Jan. Maybe we need a sign like they have at work that says how many days it has been since an accident.   "It has been ## days since I bought a knife."

I've already broke down and bought one last night on eBay....lol

I too have only bought one knife in the last two months. I added up how much I spent last year ,and figured I went a little over budget. I have a daughter in College so Robert I feel your pain.  I see alot of nice knives on Ebay, but usually someone drives the price too high for me.

The knife that ended the dry spell arrived.  A Craftsman Camp Knife.  Overall price was $18.00 ($14.00 + $4.00 shipping anf handling)  The overall condition  I would put at Used, Very Good.  The blades are full, really good snap, no wobble.  Really tight scales, very little wear. .Absolutely no light shines through the back springs.  Tang stamp extremely clear (Craftsman/ USA 9549.  Nice patina.  Only problem is some round on the screwdriver tip. Much better than I thought it would be.

Robert,  It's ok I know the girls would want you to still get yourself a knife!

Tobias, Congrats...you broke the dryspell with a great knife.  Good price, good shape.  What do you think for the age?

I'd need to do a little research I've read they are pre-1970 but I'm dubious of that estimate.  I'm thinknig more like 1970s-1980s.

Nice Craftsman Camper
